Sunset Bungalow Resort has its own beach! The resort is about 10-15 minutes walk away from Chalok Ban Kao. The walk through the most beautiful tropical garden of Koh Tao is definitely worth the effort though. Sunset beach is a private beach surrounded by coconut trees and limestone boulders. Like the name of the resort says; the sun sets right in front of your bungalow. The bungalows are traditional Thai style huts, built right on the rocks above the sea, providing you with a stunning view over the Gulf of Thailand. Sunset Beach is also a great snorkeling area where you will find many colorful corals and lots of tropical fish.
If you are looking for a peaceful scenery with simple accommodation, Sunset Bungalow’s backpacker style huts might just be the right spot for your stay on Koh Tao. The Sunset restaurant offers a variety of Thai food and some Western dishes. Fish is usually fresh from the day, since the Sunset family is an old traditional fishing family.
